Chris McLaren hits it close on 11 at Renaissance

On Tuesday, 16 Dun Whinny members arrived early at The Renaissance Club in East Lothian for a spectacular days’ golf. Russell smith, Gleneagles’ former Head Professional, welcomed and looked after us royally, with a full Scottish Breakfast, 18 holes around the magnificent links course and three course dinner.

The weather, golf course, hospitality and facilities were all magnificent. Captain David Watt had generously provided a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for nearest the pin on par threes, and Renaissance prizes were provided in the sweep to the three leading Stableford scores.

The lead group finished a few holes ahead of the field, and were able to watch the other fourballs finish with an outstanding view of the 18th green from the huge Jacuzzi in the Clubhouse!

An excellent day in great company.
