Dun Whinny members have been busy on the match front, with a victory against the Seniors Golf Society and another win in the Bell Trophy.
The match against the Seniors was played on Thursday 21st May and after a delightful lunch play took place with 6 games on the Queens course. We ended up with a narrow victory – 3.5 points to their 2.5 points. We look forward to renewing rivalry again next year at Muirfield.
The Bell Trophy, which is a handicap competition among Perth and Kinross County clubs saw Dun Whinny take on Kenmore on Sunday 24th May.
The team, being Club Captain Mike Collier, Stewart Lockhart, Tony Curley, Mike Cantlay and Peter Yarwood all played well and ran out winners by 4-1. It was a very social club played in a very relaxed but enjoyable manner. The game was followed by a nice lunch provided by the Kenmore Ladies.
The next round will be played against Blair Atholl.
