The 2016 Bell Trophy final, between Dun Whinny and Perth Academy FPs, was played today over the Rosemount course at Blairgowrie Golf Club
The Bell Trophy is Perth and Kinross County’s five-man team event. It is played in singles matchplay format over the course of the season, with all Perthshire clubs being eligible to participate.
The Dun Whinny team of Tony Moran, Andy Lothian, Chris McLaren, Tony Curley and Frank Johnson won the match 3-2.
Over the course of the season, several players have represented Dun Whinny in the various stages of the competition. In addition to today’s team for the Final, Captain Mike Collier has led teams whose other members have included Mike Page, Andy Carswell and Peter Yarwood. Every individual team member who has played this year has returned points for Dun Whinny.

Many congratulations to the winning team. It’s a difficult trophy to win but Dun Whinny has a long association with the Bell Trophy and the club is very proud of this achievement.
