Following a very successful Am Am, held on 2nd September, Dun Whinny today handed a cheque for £7,550 to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland.
MND Scotland head of fundraising Iain McWhirter received the cheque today at Gleneagles from Club Captain Andy Lothian. Iain expressed his deep gratitude to the club for this substantial contribution and told us that progress was being made to find ways to alleviate the suffering of those afflicted by this terrible disease and, ultimately, to find a cure. Our contribution will help.
MND Scotland was chosen as our Am Am charity following the very sad and untimely death earlier this year of our greatly respected and widely admired former Captain Roy Nicolson and it was especially appreciated that Roy’s son Mark was present at the ceremony.
The club’s thanks go to all who helped to raise this money.
