Andy Lothian and Captain David McLeod have become the Club and Millennium Champions respectively.
On an overcast but still Sunday morning Andy and Robin Christie contested the final of the Club Championship on the Kings whilst David took on Ian Milton over the Queens.
Andy played excellent golf over the front nine and was one under par and three holes up at the turn.

Robin kept himself in the game with some excellent scrambles but Andy’s defence was resolute, holing a 20 foot putt on the 12th for a half when it seemed sure that Robin would pull one back.
Both players were in trouble off the 13th tee but unfortunately Robin’s ball could not be found and he went 4 down with 5 to play. Andy had a chance to close out the match on the 14th after an excellent drive on to the green but left his second putt half an inch to the left of the hole for a half. However, the match was now dormy 4 and another half on the 15th was enough to win the match 4&3.
Meanwhile on the Queens David McLeod defeated Ian Milton by the same margin. Just ahead at the turn he won holes 13,14 and 15 to record his first victory in the Millennium, a fitting achievement for the Club Captain.
