Result - - Stableford. PGA. Saturday 5th April.

Our first competitive foray on the PGA saw 39 players head out for a relaxing (for some) Stableford.

The conditions were fine, if a touch chilly! Captain Daley Smith led the field out in the first group and returned with a respectable 35 points.

Despite many post round grumblings, over half the field broke the 30 point mark, however there were 16 of us who would probably seen better results staying across the road at the range!

Ian Bilsland set the clubhouse lead with an impressive 40 points, which could not be surpassed until the final group finished. David Mitchell made a valiant effort to catch Ian with an admirable 38 points to fall just short. Not to be outdone and following on from his hole in one during the week, our winner was Allister Wallace with a blistering 42 points, well done Allister.

Next week we are back on the PGA for Round 1 of the Princes Pot, which still has space for those who would like to enter and attempt to thwart David Mitchell’s title defence.
