Spring Meeting Results Updated 20/5
Nice view but a scary tee shot from the 11th tee!
We played our Spring Meeting this morning on the Kings in benign conditions from the White Tees with some “interesting” pin positions. The best two Gross and Nett scores from the Spring, Summer and Autumn Meetings win two of our best trophies so it’s nice, but not essential, to get a decent score in the bag.
In the gross section there were several good scores but the best of the bunch were Tony Moran and George Stubbs with a solid 73 and 74 respectively, Al Cantlay with an adventurous 71 which included 5 birdies, 2 bogies and 2 doubles, but the best of the bunch (again) was David “the machine” Logie with a very nice 69. All 4 are off to a good start.
The handicap section was even closer with only 5 shots separating the top 13 places. The only player to beat the aforementioned Moran, Logie and Cantlay was Craig Scott who played the last 7 holes as if he was also a scratch player in level par to shoot a nett 68. Also worth a mention were solid rounds from Jonathan Fletcher and Kevin Dickson (welcome back!) and Brain McInulty (36 - 45) and Thomas McCulloch (46 - 39) who would have made a great 4BBB team.

17/5: Draw Updated and Tee Times added to the Tee Booking system. Note that the Tee Booking is just so that you have a note of your tee time (and playing partners) on the app, you cannot use it to enter or withdraw from an event and it does not reserve you a tee time at Gleneagles, but you can play at a course named Dun Whinny, if you can find it…..
As usual once the draw had been issued you will need to let me know if you need to withdraw, this is to avoid leaving someone without a playing partner.
Our Spring Meeting will take place over the Kings Course, White Tees on Saturday May 20th. The provisional draw is below but it WILL change so please check back on Friday evening.
