Winter Comp, Kings, Saturday Feb 1st.

A full field plus a few extra afternoon starters took to the Kings today on a chilly but otherwise perfect golfing day. The greens were a bit bumpy but otherwise the course was looking good. Despite the greens the overall scoring was remarkably good: Most got over 30 points, Douglas Laing and Allister Wallace were only joint 6th with 37, there was a 4 way tie for 2nd between Tony Moran (who shot level par), Brian McInulty (who broke 80 again…), Billy McNeill and Alistair Shand (gross 75) on 39 points but this weeks clear winner with a round of 77 and 40 points is Paul Lewis. Well done all, if this form keeps up into the season proper then its going to be very hard to win any trophies this year!

February is almost here, it’s a short month then it’s March and our pre-season, with 13 Tee Times starts. Until then we are stuck with 6 times plus any extra ones we can find so it’s first come first served via the app and Tee Booking system. Good Luck! The draw for Saturday is now open to those who have already entered - just go to the Tee Booking tab and choose your time. Anyone entering once all slots have been taken will go onto the reserve list in the order they entered, anyone booking a slot without entering will be exterminated…. :)
