What happened to the gorse on the 2nd…..

A chilly but fairly pleasant day welcomed us back to the Kings after a 10 week break and it looked quite different as a lot of the gorse and broom had been taken out during the winter maintenance period. This made it quite difficult to lose balls although I am sure a few managed to lose some….. overall the scoring was pretty good with 35 points from Kevin Dickson and Tony Moran, 36 from Andy Lothian and 37 from Craig Scott. One score stood out from the crowd though: Brian McInulty started with a 6, blobbed the 13th but still managed a magnificent 43 points (reduced to 42 for the competition as it uses 95% of your handicap!). If he keeps this up until the new season starts he will be hard to beat.

Play might well be possible this week and fittingly we start the New Year back on the Kings. Enter via the app as usual and the draw will appear here on Tuesday (now below). We are currently full with 3 reserves so if you can’t make it please let Iain or myself know asap.
