August Medal Results

My drive on the 5th :)

Despite the horrendous weather forecast 20 intrepid souls turned up to play in todays medal on the PGA. As often happens the forecast was completely wrong and most of us enjoyed a dry round in warm and breezy conditions with only the later starters getting a light shower towards the end of their round.

The course was in great condition but the recent really good growing conditions meant that any ball not on a fairway was probably lost! This reflected in the scores with only David Logie breaking 80 to win his usual Gross prize and only 7 players breaking nett 80…..

Best of the day was Alan Black with a 73 closely followed by Jim Crawford and David Mitchell with 75’s which could have been a lot better. His share of second place moves David back ahead of Iain Aitchison in the Order of Merit.

Next up we have the Roy Nicolson Salver from the yellow tees on the Queens. We also have a guest reporter for the day, more on this next week.

Order of Merit Leader David Mitchell holing out on the 3rd. The sunshine with with angry skies behind sums up todays weather.

Our August Monthly Medal will be played from the Yellow Tees on the PGA on Saturday 19th. The provisional draw is below but as usual please check it again on Friday evening as it will change….. If you would like to be added or need to withdraw then please let me know.
