Blue Tee Event, with Yellow Tee option. Results.
The pin barely on the green at 16….
Lovely weather and a course in prime condition greeted the 26 competitors who took part in today’s event from the very back tees on the Kings. A tricky breeze, some interesting pin positions and the intimidating views from the Blue Tees destroyed most of us and only 3 people made more than 30 points.
Order of merit leaders David Mitchell and Iain Aitchison shot a creditable 31 points but….. Club Champion David Logie didn’t seem to find it hard at all making 5 birdies in an exceptional round of 69 gross, 2 under par, and an amazing 37 points to win comfortably. Even the guys playing from the yellow tees couldn’t match that.
Well played David, definitely the round of the year so far and worthy of the bottle of champers that is normally awarded for winning this event.

We are back on the Kings next week for our Summer Meeting which normally attracts a decent field so make sure you enter on the app asap.

This Saturday, July 29th, we have our annual Challenge from the Blue Tees on the Kings, there is also a Yellow tee alternative for those who don’t feel up to it but there are no prizes for this option. You can enter either via the app but please don’t enter both!
The draws are below but WILL change. We have another 4 times after these which we aren’t currently using so if anyone wants them please let me know before I hand them back tomorrow morning.
