July Golf Update 19/7
After a hectic couple of months things are slowing down a bit on the competition front but we still have a few events coming up. We also have some extra tee times so if you don’t feel up to playing a medal but fancy a friendly game instead then please let me know and I will let you have any spare slots.
This Saturday, July 22nd, we have a monthly medal on the Kings. On Wednesday July 26th we have the Jack Adams Trophy on the Queens and on Saturday July 29th we have a stableford from the Blue Tees on the Kings - if this sounds too scary you can play from the yellows instead but obviously can’t win the Blue Tee event!
Separate news items with entry details, draws, results and a report for each of these will appear in separate news articles in due course. Entry is via the app as usual and any questions you might have should be answered here Everything you need to know to play in our events. — Dun Whinny Golf Club You can view the above for all recent events in the News section of the Dun Whinny website.
In other news our Bell Trophy campaign gets underway on Tuesday evening with a home match on the Queens against Crieff. Good luck to the team!
The summer knockout competitions are progressing nicely we have reached the quarter final stage of both. Details of these plus the ever changing and very close battle for the Order of Merit can be seen via the links here Competitions — Dun Whinny Golf Club
Looking further ahead we have our Mixed Foursomes Event on the afternoon of Sunday September 10th on the Queens where a Dun Whinny member is paired with a Dunbracken member. The golf is followed by a meal and prize giving in the Dormy. If you would like to play then please let me know. If you already have a partner then great, if you don’t then we already have quite a long list of ladies looking for partners.
