Medal Final
The weather forecast was wet and windy, the pins were high and dry but most people turned up anyway and it wasn’t nearly as bad as advertised. Apart from a couple of squally showers it was a lovely morning.
Two trophies were up for grabs: the Gross was tighter than usual with David Logie’s gross 75 only 3 shots ahead of yours truly, well done David.
The nett prize was much closer…. David’s nett 75 set the target, my 72 set a new target and Kevin Beattie would have matched it if he hadn’t missed a tiny putt at the 17th so it’s another trophy for Mr Logie and another trophy for me. Strangely we are also first and second in the Order of Merit going into the final few weeks.
Full results from today are on the app, leading scores as follows:
Singles KO: Congratulations are also due to Jason Wilding who defeated David McLeod 4&3 in the Final of the Handicap Singles last weekend.
Next up we have the DF Darroch Stableford on the Queens and the field includes ex member David Roxburgh as a special guest.
