Senior Championship and Monthly Medal. Updated 3/6/23

A beautiful morning on the Queens course welcomed the players for this Dun Whinny double header. There were a few good scores posted however there wasn’t the usual Queens scoring bonanza. Credit for that must go partly to the grumpy greenkeeper who failed to locate any pins near the middle of the greens and partly to the remarkable growth in the rough since last Saturday.

The clear winner of the Seniors Trophy and the Monthly Medal Net goes to Mike Collier with a net 66 well played Mike. Runner up in the Seniors Trophy with a 68 was Alan Black and Alan was also joint runner up in the Monthly Medal Net with David Mitchell. The winner of the Gross Monthly medal with a 71 was Neil Lock well played Neil. Runner up on 72 was Rory Bain.

Many members retired to the balcony for a well needed beer on the balcony. The Golf Secretary at this point enjoying his afternoon freedom from Scoring duties before his apprentice called upon him all the way through the Cup Final to try and close the competition. Ah well hopefully it will be easier the next time!
