Golf Update

Summer has finally arrived, the shorts and tee shirts are out of storage and there is lots of golf coming up so its time for a quick update:

Firstly just a reminder of where you can find all the information you need:

You can see what Competitions are coming up in the fixture list at the bottom of the competitions section on the Dun Whinny website, you can also see them in your Diary if you subscribe to our eCalendar (contact Daley).

You enter upcoming events on the Scottish Golf app - Events, Select, Go the Basket then “Purchase” an Entry. You can view what you have entered for in the Bookings Tab in the Dashboard section of the App.

The draw for the event will appear in the News section of the website a few days beforehand. You will also be able to view your Tee Time in the Tee Booking section of the app on a fictional golf course called Dun Whinny. This facility is only so you can see your tee time on the app and is not a way of entering or withdrawing from an event. Note: once a draw has been made, normally on a Wednesday or Thursday, you cannot withdraw via the app and must contact myself, David, Frank or Daley if you need to pull out. This is so we can rearrange the draw to avoid leaving someone without a partner.

NEW: The results of competitions can now be seen on the Scottish Golf Website. Home - Scottish Golf You need to Log In but can then view all of your own scores, handicap info etc plus all the info from all the other players in the competition, including hole by hole scores.

A Summary of the Results and a report on the event will also appear in the News Section of the Dun Whinny website within a day or two of the competition.

Finally, the ongoing Draws for the Summer Singles, Foursomes and the Order of Merit can be seen in the Competitions section on the Dun Whinny website. Competitions — Dun Whinny Golf Club

Talking of knockouts congratulations to everyone. This is the first time in the history of any golf club that I am aware of that every tie has been played within the allotted time without any coin tosses or extension requests….. lets keep it up!
