Stableford: Pre-Season Warm Up

Congratulations to everyone who took part in our pre season Stableford in glorious sunshine on the Queens this morning. Everyone who played scored at least 29 points which is outstanding considering the condition of the greens. I sense already that trophies are going to be extremely hard to win this year!

It was good to see a couple of our newest members, David Mitchell and Mark Higham starting off competitively with 36 and 37 points respectively. Mike Cantlay, who loves winning competitions without prizes, also gave this one a good go with a solid 37 points which was matched by David Logie who shot an impressive gross 66. Narrowly missing out with great scores of 38 points were Mike Collier and Ken Swa. Best of the day 40 points were scored by Alan Black and Eric Lambert, Eric nicked the win courtesy of a better back nine but as there were no prizes no one really cares πŸ˜‚. Again well done to everyone, best scores are below and all scores are on the app πŸ‘

Entries for our Singles and Foursomes knockouts close on Thursday. We already have 40 for the singles and 35 for the foursomes so obviously need at least one more. Anyone not already paired up will be paired up shortly πŸ˜€

Our first trophy, the JD Penny Shield is up for grabs this Saturday, April 2nd, on the Queens and judging by todays scores it will take something special to win it.

Don’t forget to register your interest with Frank for the Jubilee (invitation day) on May 21st and our away day to The Castle Course on September 3rd as both are limited numbers on a first come first served basis.

And finally Congratulations to Rob Crockart and David Logie who added the Winter Fourball trophy to their Summer Foursomes one by narrowly defeating Ross McNish and Gordon Colburn at the 18th on the PGA on Wednesday.
