Stableford Saturday June 22nd. PGA Yellow Tees (updated with Results)

Whilst the semi-finals for the club Championship and Millennium Trophy were taking place, “the mortals” took to the PGA for a friendly Stableford competition.

Frank Johnson was an early clubhouse leader with a very respectable 32 points, only to lose the lead to Rob Simpson, who went ahead by one point.

Rob’s lead lasted for a short while, before Alan Penman would return the same score but pip him with a better back 9.

However Ian Fisher would have the last word with a very good score of 34 points. In the breezy conditions and difficult rough, playing close to handicap was great effort.

Top half of the leaderboard is below.

Thank you to everyone who featured, especially those who we had to move around to allow us to accommodate the late entries from Fridays’ Quarter Finals. This is always a challenging time for organisers but I’m grateful that everyone who wanted to play was able to.

Update from evening 21st June final Draw below:

For anyone not involved in the Club Championship or Millennium Semi finals we have organised a friendly stableford from the Yellow Tees on the PGA. This will count for your handicap but not for the Order of Merit.

As many won’t know if they can play in this until the Friday evening we will be using the Tee Booking system and relaxing the Registration rules so anyone can enter or withdraw up until their Tee Off time.

As per the Presidents Platter you can enter and withdraw as follows:

To Enter an event go to the Events Tab, SELECT the event you want to enter then click on the basket at the Top Right to “purchase” your entry - you are not entered until you have done this. In this case you might be asked to choose a Tee Time. When you do your name will appear in whatever Tee Time Slot you are looking at in order to Reserve it for you but you won’t be in that slot until you have confirmed it.

To withdraw from an event please go to the Bookings tab on the Dashboard (not to be confused with the Tee Booking tab mentioned above), select the event and cancel your registration. In this case you should also cancel your Tee Booking - NOTE that cancelling your Tee Booking does not withdraw you from the competition.
