Stroke Play Final Round

What a beautiful day for a game of golf!

The final round of this year’s Stroke Play Championships took place on the Kings this morning in glorious sunshine and perfect conditions. The two George’s, Watterson and Stubbs, were best on the day but as neither of them had played both of the previous rounds they weren’t able to compete for the trophies. Well done both on great rounds though.

In order to make for an exciting finish in the main events the leading players went out in reverse order of their scores. The exciting finish didn’t materialize though as David Logie, who was defending both the Nett and Gross Championships showed the field a clean pair of heels to win them both again. Congratulations David.

Andy Lothian showed a welcome return to form to finish an albeit distant second in both events. Only eleven players managed to complete all three rounds and their scores are below.

Next up we have the Captains Prize on the Queens. It’s a stableford from yellow tees and a few spots are still available. Entry is via the app as always.
