Summer Meeting Result.

A lovely morning greeted those taking part in our Summer Meeting on the Kings today but heavy rain around 10am left the course looking like the picture above by 12.30 when our final groups finished. A few putts needed to be repositioned to avoid the puddles but everyone managed to finish their round so no need to postpone the event especially as its part of a best two from three competition.

The best nett of the day was Bill Sexton with a 72 closely followed by Patrick Elsmie and Mike Collier with 73’s. The only players to break 80 tied for the best gross of 79 with David Logie pipping James Hardy on the better back nine. The final event of the series is on September 23rd.

Hopefully we will all have dried out in time for the Gordon Lockhart 36 hole event next weekend.

It still doesn’t feel like Summer but we are holding our Summer Meeting on the Kings on Saturday August 5th anyway. We have tee times from 7.30 until 9.30 and there are still plenty of places for anyone who hasn’t entered yet. An initial draft draw is below but will change so please check your tee time on Friday evening as usual.
