Match Report vs Dun Ochil

On Sunday 2nd July we played our annual match against our close neighbours from Dun Ochil. 

There was a stiff breeze, the greens were quick and tricky and the match was played in sunshine and in a great spirit followed by a meal in the Dormy where the inevitable “if only…” tales were recounted.

Five of the six matches went to at least the 17th hole demonstrating what a tight match it was but Dun Whinny came up just short losing 2-4 to Dun Ochil. 

I would like to add that home advantage clearly helped our opponents but this is one of those occasions where we can’t rely on this.  Congratulations to the Dun Ochil team and we look forward to our attempt to reverse this result next year.
