Dun Whinny 2.5 - 3.5 Dun Ochil

On Sunday 30 June we played our annual match against fellow Gleneagles members Dun Ochil.

On the Kings, Dun Ochil took an early lead winning the top match (the Captain not leading from the front!) and it looked as if they might extend this to two as the second match was 1 down with 2 to play.  However a magnificent 3 3 birdie eagle finish by Ken and Andy resulted in a much needed victory. Another eagle finish from Kevin in the third match secured another win to give Dun Whinny a 2-1 lead, however…..

Over on the Queens Dun Ochil managed to squeeze wins from the first two pairings leaving them 3-2 ahead.  Everything now rested on the final match on the Queens. Both teams had chances to win but it ended in a halved match leaving Dun Ochil, in their 60th anniversary year, victors by the narrowest of margins.
