Match Result: Glasgow GC vs Dun Whinny GC

On Sunday, June 9th, Dun Whinny Golf Club was warmly received by our friends from Glasgow Golf Club.

Many of our members will know that Glasgow Golf Club is unique as it boasts two separate courses which are 35 miles apart. Whilst the option has been discussed to play a future match at their other course, Glasgow Gailes Links Course, this years tie was held at the historic venue of Killermont Golf Course.

The course itself was in fantastic condition ands the hospitality afforded by our friends was exceptional as always.

The weather was mostly mild with intervals of sunshine, although moderate gusts, added to the challenge presented by slick greens.

Our match was a tightly contested affair, with only one tie being decided by a two-point margin.

Unfortunately for Dun Whinny, the match followed the pattern of recent years, with the home team emerging victorious once again. We hope to see the trend continue in our favor when we host Glasgow at Gleneagles in 2025.
