Princes Pot. Updated 16/4. 1st round result, 2nd round draw.

Defending champion Mike Collier leads the way yet again after a fine 38 points in sunny conditions yesterday. Hot on his heels are Tony Moran (36) and Ken Swa (35). Bill Sexton also shot 35 points but is unable to make the next round.

Everyone who played and hasn’t told they they can’t make the second round on May 6th has been added to the draw which is in reverse score order as below. If you cant make it then please let me know.

If you didn’t play the first round but would like to play the second round then we will try to fit you in where we can.

Entries and provisional draw. Please check back as it will change.

PS: we have moved to 9 min intervals to create 4 extra slots and now have spaces for 3 more players. Please let me know asap if you would like to play.

This is a two round competition and you are automatically entered for both rounds. If you cant make the second round on May 6th (e.g. if you have been invited to the coronation) then please let me know so I can make spaces available for casual players.

Scoring for this will be on the app. Just go to the Scorecard tab on the day and your card will be there (although the date might not be correct and it might say Dun Ochil somewhere!), select who to mark for and off you go. Remember to confirm your score with your marker after the round and sign your card. Results will be published here when available.

Competition History: The Princes Pot Trophy was first awarded in 1986. Before the development of the PGA Centenary golf course Dun Whinny played some medals on the Glendevon Course and it was at the suggestion of John Rankin that at least two of the medals on the Glendevon course be moved to the Princes Course and he purchased a small trophy to be awarded to the best two round Stableford aggregate on the Princes Course. At that time the princes Course was 18 holes in length which then became known as the Wee Course and now known as the PGA Academy Course and is only 9 holes of Par 3 golf. The change came about when a substantial portion of the Princes Course was lost to the formation of what is now the PGA Centenary Course. In 1999 following approval from John Rankin the Princes Pot is now played as two rounds of Stableford Golf on the PGA Centenary Course.
