Spring Medal 2022

We played our Spring Meeting Medal on the Kings course this morning in beautiful Spring like conditions, sunshine, a sometimes chilly breeze and fast but bumpy greens. The best gross score of the day came from David Logie who birdied the last two holes for a 71 to pip Neil Lock by a shot. The only other players to break 80 were Rory Bain (75), Mike Page and Alastair Shand (78’s).

In the handicap section it was even closer with the top 10 players all within 4 strokes of the lead. Keith Stirling let his score slip yet again after a great front nine to finish on 74…. Ken Swa was his usual steady self for a 73, the captain and vice captain both had nett 72’s and messers Dickson and Logie went one better with 71’s.

This left 4 players tied on nett 70’s, Neil Lock, Alastair Shand, Mike Collier and Mark Higham. Off to a countback we went and the winner with a back nine of 33 is ………. Mark Higham. Congratulations Mark.

Full scores are below and also on the app. Talking of the app well done to David Watt who did something today that he hasn’t done for a while

Over the next two weeks we have the qualifiers for our Club Championship and Millennium (Handicap) match play events (PGA then Kings) with the finals taking place over the weekend of 24-26th June on the Kings and Queens. If you can’t play in the match play event then you can still play in the qualifiers but please let me know so that I can exclude you from the match play draw.

Both the singles and foursomes knockouts are progressing nicely and you can follow these on the app, under comps, knockout or in the Club Documents under the … tab.
