Upcoming Events.
Now that the holiday season is coming to an end we thought this would be a good time to remind you what golf events are coming up over the next few weeks:
This Saturday (August 17th) we have our August Monthly Medal from the Yellow Tees on the PGA. Tee times are 7.30 - 9.30 and we still have a few spots left.
Saturday 24th is the Roy Nicolson Salver. This is always one of our more popular events, possibly as it is a stableford played from the Queens Yellow tees and as per last year (see link below) we will have a guest reporter for the event.

Our Club Outing to Dundonald the following week is fully subscribed, the bus has been booked and it should be great fun again. Daley’s report from last year is below to get you in the mood.

The following weekend we have two competitions: The final round of this year’s Stroke Play Championship in on the Kings on Saturday September 7th - as you will see from the report from last year not many people actually manage to play all 3 rounds so you are very welcome to play even if you haven’t played in the first two rounds.

The Second Event that weekend is our Mixed Event with Dunbracken. The Secretaries Salvers is a mixed foursomes played on the Queens on the Sunday afternoon (September 8th) with teams made up of a Dun Whinny and a Dunbracken member. It’s great fun and there is a meal and prizegiving in the Dormy afterwards. You can enter as a pair or just stick your name down and we will pair you up. Iain Aitchison will be organising it this year and a reminder of previous events is below:

In the Singles Douglas Hamilton plays Ryan Longmuir and Ken Marshall faces Billy Z McNeill.
And in the Foursomes its Ken Marshall/Tariq Ali vs Mark Higham/Paul Kelly and David Mitchell/Andy McGill vs Alan Roe/Paul Wadsworth.
Well done everyone for getting this far!
and finally, don’t forget to indicate your attendance at this years Prize Giving Dinner Dance on Saturday November 2nd by replying to Daley’s recent email. To whet your appetite here is what happened last year.
